Business Development Manager - East Coast

Responsibilities

Jonckers Translation & Engineering  requires a Business Development Manager for the generation and development of both inbound and outbound new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be a consummate and credible sales professional selling multilingual content localization to Localization Managers and other Executives of major brands and blue chip companies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for Jonckers Translation & Engineering  to an agreed annual target of invoiced revenue, to increase year on year
  • Present Jonckers Translation & Engineering  to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
  • Spend 80% of your time out of the office in meetings. Travel is a major factor and is predicted to be predominantly (according to location) with some overnight stops.  
  • Responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the project management team
  • Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities to Jonckers Translation & Engineering  are captured and explored
  • Represent Jonckers Translation & Engineering  at industry events and tradeshows
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline and ensure all sales administration is current using the CRM tool.
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation
  • Prove a thorough understanding of clients objectives including their Return On Investment (ROI) objectives
  • Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
  • Keep abreast of issues affecting the localization industry and collect competitor intelligence

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent by experience
  • Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process, specifically through the Customer Centric Selling® methodology.
  • Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’
  • Strong client management skills
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities
  • Fluent in English required.  Other languages are good assets.
  • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people
  • Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual
  • A sound understanding of the localization industry would be a distinct advantage

 

  • Ability to deliver a customized sales process to achieve targets /KPI’s by generating leads, asking probing questions, using most appropriate features & benefits based on clients needs and matching with a customized solution
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities using relevant research tools / sector specific targeting and cold calling
  • A detailed knowledge of localization processes and multilingual documentation management
  • Ability to manage and maintain accurate and accessible customized documentation
